Be Kind Rewind is about 2 friends/movie store owners that one day find out that unfortunately all of the movies in their store have been erased. So now they have to find a way to keep their store in business so the come up with wacky ideas to remake every film that was in their store with an old camera they have. Using very homemade special effects they do exactly that, from classics like Ghostbusters to Driving Miss Daisy. If you are a fan of movies and comedies this is a movie I defiantly recommend.
"Be Kind Rewind centers on trouble-making Jerry (Black) and well-meaning Mike (Def). Mike works in a video store in an age where the VHS is long dead. When the store's owner, Mr. Fletcher (Glover), leaves town for a trip, he entrusts his store to Mike with one piece of advice: don't let Jerry in the store. But after some mischief, Jerry returns to the store in a strange state - he's magnetized, which causes the entire store's stock to be erased. In order to keep the struggling business afloat, Mike and Jerry begin remaking the films in the store one by one. Their hilariously low-budget versions of films such as Ghostbusters and Rush Hour 2 soon begin to draw attention and business to the store, but that creates a whole new set of problems for the pair."
