A Cure For Wellness feels like a slow burn. A sleeper to be sure, underrated and largely ignored, it nudges you along rather than pulls. While watching you start to wonder, "How does no one notice?" And that is likely the point. As a voyeur, you are imbued with clear sight to see what the quirky and sometimes off-putting characters cannot. But is it enough? When you think you are fine can there be MORE than just fine? Is there a way to elevate yourself above your current state of perceived purity? Should you even want to? Thoughts like these lead viewers into an ouroboros that may not find its end. Supported by an amazing ensemble cast that includes Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones), and Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), A Cure for Wellness is worth a watch just to experience their chemistry.
