How does one begin to describe the series that is Harry Potter? Some may say it's overrated and overdone. Honestly, I can't even begin to explain how it is actually underrated. The first Harry Potter book, Sorcerer's Stone, opens up a portal to a magical world filled with lessons about friendship and relationships in general. For me, it was an instant hook line and sinker, I was instantly drawn in by Harry's life with his family and the fact that he knew nothing of the wizarding world. As a reader, I got to learn about the world Harry was going to become a part of as he learned about it. Every chapter was a new adventure, pulling me in deeper. There were times it felt like I was standing next to Harry, the descriptions in the book were just that amazing. My suggestion read the series.
A winner of England's National Book Award, the acclaimed debut novel tells the outrageously funny, fantastic adventure story of Harry Potter, who escapes a hideous foster home thanks to a scholarship to The Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.
