Scott Pilgrim is a movie unlike any I have seen before. Adapted from the manga of the same name, the direction of Edgar Wright is perfect for its transition to the big screen. Wright, who does not get enough praise for his prowess as a director, brings a unique and captivating visual style that has scenes and characters jumping right off the page and onto your screen. The ensemble cast is superb. Headlined by Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, it also includes the likes of Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, and Academy Award winner Brie Larson. The movie is hilarious, with a good blend of action while at the same delivering a heartfelt message about relationships and growing up.
Scott Pilgrim learns that if he wants to date the girl of his dreams, he must fight all seven of her previous lovers.
