Six of Crows, the first of a duology, is an unforgettable teen fantasy novel with six dynamic (and diverse!) lead characters. Leigh Bardugo expertly combines flashbacks and action sequences to make a thrilling roller coaster ride of a novel. Fans of Game of Thrones will enjoy the narrative style, which switches characters every chapter; readers will get to know the six main characters and quickly become engrossed in their stories and relationships. The characters are quite diverse: Kaz, the leader of the group, walks with a cane (as does the author); only four of the six leads are Caucasian; and there are multiple LGBT characters in the group. Be warned, though: once you finish this, be prepared to have the sequel handy. You're going to need to know how this ends!
Six dangerous outcasts must learn to work together after they are offered an impossible heist that can save the world from destruction.
