Six Of Crows

by Bardugo, Leigh
A great fantasy-heist story!

Six of Crows isn't the first book that Leigh Bardugo set in this exotic world populated by magic users called Grisha, but it might be her best. Adding depth to the already rich tapestry of her Grisha Trilogy (Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, Ruin and Rising), Six of Crows changes perspective drastically, giving readers a streets-eye view of life in the gutter. Kaz Brekker, criminal prodigy and lieutenant of a powerful gang, is offered the opportunity of a lifetime when he's asked to lead a band of thieves deep into enemy territory to liberate a scientist who has stumbled across a compound that threatens to forever alter the magical balance of their world. He and his five companions a wraith, a sharpshooter, a healer, a soldier, and a walking insurance policy face down a labyrinth of obstacles in their quest of the ultimate prize: thirty-million kruge and a chance for a new life. In Six of Crows, Bardugo didn't just write a thrill-ride of a heist story she also wrote a team of real, likeable characters with complex, sometimes troubling emotions. It's not a book I'll soon forget nor will you.
