Sourcier Ou Cibliste

English summary: Jean-Rene Ladmiral is one of the founding fathers of traductology, the science of translation. This collection of articles and essays traces his thoughts on the opposition between the partisans of literal translation and those who would allow translators their freedom of interpretation. The concepts remain essential matters for those engaging in translation, from literary and professional texts to conferences and diplomatic and political affairs.
