With the recent release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, why not re-visit the original 1990 classic? Filmed with a grungy style in an urban setting, the first TMNT film finds a perfect mixture of the gritty 1984 comic and the lighthearted spirit of the 1987 animated series. Brought to life by the Jim Henson Creature Shop, the Turtles and Master Splinter bring "bodacious" one-liners and a surprisingly heartfelt story about fathers and their sons. Emotionally speaking, the Turtles have never felt more human as far as the live action films go.
Helped by a reporter and an ex-hockey player, the Turtles attempt to save their ninja master, Splinter, from the evil Shredder and his gang.
