This 50th Anniversary Edition book features the chief engineer's notes of planning and constructing the The Golden Gate Bridge in September of 1937. There is shelf wear on the edges of the front and back cover and scratches on the cover edge. The edges of the cover are discolored from the original red hue to a light brown. The drafts, maps, internal pages, and notes are all in Near Fine condition. Contains full, transparent plates in the back of the book of the drafts for different pieces of the bridge including the main bridge plan, cable tie-down at pylons, main towers, and stiffening trusses. Includes a Foreward by Gary Giacomini.
