HPB College Station

As a huge fan of physical media, this store has always had something for me, whether it was that hard-to-find audiobook before the days of Amazon Prime or that special horror VHS I needed for my collection. I love how this chain, and specifically the Bryan/College Station location, continues to adapt with the times and the changing media landscape while still keeping a great mix of collectible and practical entertainment on the shelves for everyone in the community. Theres something special about a store that evolves without forgetting those of us who still like our entertainment in physical form.

I have been a repeat customer of this Half Price Books since moving to town and I love it. They always have a good selection with great prices. Shelves are always neat & organized by genre. They have journals and stationery, books, dvds, cassettes, vinyl records, stuffed animals, gifts, and more.

Great book store. They had a lot of newer titles, most of the books were in great condition and they even beat Amazon prices, which is difficult for local places to do. I didn't see anything marked as new or used, so not sure how you can tell besides the wear and tear on the books themselves. TBH, as long as its in good condition, I don't care.Wish I had one in my city!

Drove from Houston to College Station to pick up a book needed for school. John helped me. He sat on the floor and shared his knowledge and wisdom. Took time with me, looked up resources, and really listened and assisted me on broadening my search. In no way did he over sell. We put books back, found other, and even dug into art as way of learning about religion. I left with a handful of books that he assisted me in researching. Thank you!

I love visiting the different varieties of books and movies always makes going super fun and enjoyable. I personally love checking out the books by the front desk and then heading over to either their manga or young adult fiction sections. I find some of the best books here and for cheaper than anywhere else. If you haven't gone recently I suggest stopping by they get new books fairly often and reorganize when they can meaning you can always find something new when you come in. My only suggestion is you bring you own bag. They don't have any plastic bags there but they will offer you a box for all your new books. So go drop on by and see what they have in store for you!
