Cliffhanger: New Climbing Culture & Adventures

In the last years, climbing has become one of the more prominent disciplines in the world of outdoor sports. Through the success of movies such as "Free Solo" and the proliferation of urban bouldering clubs, more people have become aware of this art. However, there's still no illustrated publication that presents an overview of the discipline as such through beautiful images and compelling stories. This is the pioneer book we want to make, together with Julie Ellison, a climber herself but overall a journalist with over a decade of experience covering the field through writing, photographing and editing (she was the first female editor-inchief of prestigious magazine Climbing). Climbing will give a comprehensive overview of the people, gear, techniques, spots and philosophies that conform this movement today, which is experienced as a lifestyle rather than simply a sport.
