This is a great place to find those hard to find books at a good price, especially since they have 5 locations. They have books of all variations. The collection of old had some nice books for a collector. They also carry games, toys and other novelty items to chose from. The trade or sell your books area is a great way to get some good cash/trade. The real steal today was the clearance section, books today was only $2. Really can't beat that. These 1/2 price book stires are awsome.
I took my 9-years-old granddaughter to Half Price Books for the first time. Although it's one of my favorite places (I've visited them in four states), initially she was under impressed, sharing that she preferred going to the library. Until we asked a very pleasant associate for help finding Minecraft books. Eureka! We were able to pare down her selection to three, and she is now a fan.
Wonderful place to get away and relax! They have it all.... books, paper or hardback, games, toys, movies and more to offer! The kids area is set up nicely to let your child walk freely and explore the book selections from toddlers on up to tweens! Exceptional customer service whether on the phone or needing a little direction! The vast array of books and movies are overthrow so you have to choose your sections to visit! They've mapped this store out exceptionally well and always have employees organizing to help the customers. I've never had any luck selling books at this location, which is unfortunate, but can go to a \"sister store\" and do so much better! Excellent way to relax and shop without the big crowd loud noise!
We need an HPB here in Springfield, MO! We got spoiled living in Texas and having access to multiple stores. Driving 2 or more hours to the nearest one is a hardship. Surrounding cities are Branson, Ozark, Nixa, Marshfield, Mount Vernon, Republic, Aurora, etc. Plenty of customers to support an HPB. We so miss spending afternoons browsing the shelves and always bringing home lots of books.
