First edition. Bound in Vellum. Chronicles the circumnavigation of the globe by Commodore George Anson from 1740-1744. Many of the fold outs have seen better days (the map of South America, for example, is torn in half and frayed at the edges) but all appear to be present and they remain exquisite despite their damage. The front board has suffered a bit of water dameage and there are some pencil markings on all of the endpapers
