Marcel Proust's life work on the impermanence of memory, written in a two-decade period in a cork-lined room in a Parisian suburb. Two light-blue slipcases containing the work in six volumes of pale blue-dark blue alternating cloth. Photograph of the author on both slipcovers, titled in gold. Black-and-white photographic plates throughout. Closed crack along tops and bottoms of both slipcases. Heavy scratch to bottom board of one slipcase. Bumped on top rear corner to one slipcase. Books are in near fine condition, slipcases in very good.
