Overview

A beautiful copy of Scott's ode to the ancient ballads of his homeland. Complete in 2 volumes. In original embossed black leather with gilt decorations and gilt titles on spine. Volume one is split at the front hinge and after the first register, but the bindings of both volumes remain firm. Both volumes have a former owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. Both have some rubbing to the edges of the boards and considerable bumping to the corners. Both are lightly foxed throughout.
