Appearing originally as 'The Chimaera' in Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'A Wonder Book', 'Pegasus, the Winged Horse' is a retelling of the myth of Bellerophon, the great monster-slayer. This scarce 1963 edition features large illustrations by Herschel Levit and an introduction by poet Robert Lowell.
The condition is Near Fine. The text block and glossy, pictoral boards are undamaged, with only a few scuffs to the top back board. First edition.
