ROB was originally created as a peripheral for the original Nintendo Entertainment System as Nintendo's attempt at helping their console endure the video game crash of 1983. Their goal was to make the NES seem more like a toy than a video game console, cementing himself as an essential part of Nintendo's history from the beginning. In recent years, ROB has once again risen to prominence due to his inclusion in the Super Smash Brothers series. This amiibo comes fitted with an NFC chip that allows it to interact with games such as Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and Yoshi's Wooly World. Does not come in-box.
