HPB Lewisville

Great little spot to find old and new books, series, and even antique games (i.e. NES).There's even valuable and antique books valued $50+ to books from the 1800s! Never thought I would see that at a bookstore.You can also sell or donate your own books here. They also donate to various organizations!

This was my first time going to half price book store.I had a pleasant experience. Staff was very friendly and courteous.They helped me find the book I was looking for and answered all my questions in a very professional and courteous manner.I would definitely go there again if needed.

I collect the Nancy Drew paperbacks, and was excited to find a small lot of titles I didnt have yet here. At checkout I noticed they had all been recently repriced to $3.99. This is more than twice as much as these titles run for, at other retailers or at HPB stores. I asked the employee about this and they looked the items up and confirmed the prices, but something didnt sit right with me. I lifted the new sticker and discovered they had all been marked up 50%. I spoke with the manager and said it didnt feel right, they were not in pristine condition and its not fair market price. I had been to another store in the area the same day and got more from the series for $1.99 or less, and you could see the original price.. They agreed and refunded the items and did a price adjustment for me. In my frustration (and embarrassment) I did not catch the managers name but I genuinely appreciate everything they did. They could have easily dismissed me but something felt wrong about this and Im glad they agreed. I visit a lot of HPB when Im in Texas and this would have put me off as a customer for a while even if it is the best place to find the titles Im looking for. I got to add to my collection and HPB earned a customer for life. Sorry again to the employees if they thought I was being demanding or crazy and thank you!

I finished the 4th book of my current series 30 minutes before they closed, rushed over, grabbed book 5 and was out in less than 5 minutes! The staff was so sweet in helping me find it so I could rush home and get started on the book!

I absolutely love coming here to find books. Very good price and they look new too! I can get something thatd used but looks and feels new. I nonchalantly go to the manga section hehe
