"My journey with Half Price Books began in 2011. I was fresh out of college, and much like Charlotte from Pride and Prejudice I was thinking, "I've no money and no prospects. I'm already a burden to my parents and I'm frightened." I happened to see a now hiring sign at our location in Cedar Rapids and thought working at a bookstore for a little while would be fun. Half Price Books took a chance on me and I fell in love with the job and the company. I moved to this location in 2013 and have had the honor of being the Store Manager since 2021.
