Dictionary of moral theology, condemned by Protestants; copies of this book were publicly burned by Martin Luther in 1520. Octavo, embossed boards; boards decorated and protected by metal corner pieces that are firmly attached, even with some pins missing. Clasps are incomplete. Front hinge cracked, but held in place by rope binding. The first page is quite loose. 20 prelims; the first 8 are not numbered, the next 12 are numbered. There are 532 page leaves in the main text. Prelims and and pages 1-4 of main text feature red lettering. Some pages are misnumbered,136 as 139, 273 as 285, 275 as 287, 299 as 199, 459 as 449 and 467 as 457. Page 215 has a small part of the corner torn off, roughly 1/2 inch, 310 has a tear on the bottom corner roughly 1 inch long and 335 has a chip that is approximately 1/4 inch in the lower third of the page. A name is written on the head and dated 1515.
