Overview

Bradley Ellison and Missy Holiday retreat from the world on a desolate plantation in rural Tennessee. For Brad, it is work: he must find a compelling story before the magazine he writes for decides his services are no longer required. For Missy, it is recuperation: four years at "the club" have left her drained.

But when Brad finds curious symbols and Missy witnesses a bizarre killing in the nearby town of Three Summers, both must find a way to deal with the possibility of the supernatural in their new home. Now--with the presence of the slow rivers, silent hills and unorthodox neighbors stifling the atmosphere--they must confront the ghosts, both past and present, that haunt the house, and try to avert the bloody end that inevitably comes to all its inhabitants.
