This book is one of eight known signed, first edition Eckert books inscribed to Allan Eckert's sister-in-law, Margaret Dowling, affectionately referred to by Eckert as Maggie. Illustrated by Franz Altschuler, this is one of Eckert's rarer books, markedly more so because it is a signed first. Slight rubbing along foot of spine and dust jacket, as well as a three small scuffs/tears along the spine's dust jacket and backstrip to the cover.
