The "Peralta Grant" also known as the "Barony of Arizona," was a scam perpetrated by James Addison Reavis to claim ownership of a vast portion of the Southwest based on fabricated documents. Originally granted to Don Luís María Peralta in1820, covered a large area in present-day California. This book is inscribed "For Chester Wilson who once ranched on the Peralta grant." and signed by author. DJ has chipped and creased edges and minor rubbing. Book has tight binding with slight rubbing to edges.
