A First Edition of Charles Portis's revisionist western, which introduced the winsome drunk, Rooster Cogburn and vengeful teenager Mattie Ross. The condition is Very Good. The boards are undamaged and the text block is clean, unmarked. The dust jacket is intact, only chipped at the extremes of the spine, with a small tear to the front left corner. It is not price-clipped and shows the original $4.95. First Edition, Fourth Printing, stated. Mylared.
