A 20th Century American classic
Trevor R. - 1 year 8 months agoFaulkner's epic odyssey remains a monument in the realms of modernist fiction for its dark comic tone and dense (and sometimes tragic) characters, who embark on a quest to fulfill their late mother's dying wish. Comparatively, As I Lay Dying is more approachable in its language and is a perfect starting place for anyone interested in Faulkner's experimental style. If you're interested in 20th Century American literature, then give it a whirl.
