A little too close to home
LAUREN W. - 6 years 5 months agoSet in a post apocalyptic United States, this gives a frighteningly realistic view of what could be the future of the country using problems that our society faces today. It's the story of a young couple who are expecting a baby, trying to find a a safe place to live and call home. The images of this book were haunting and at times very beautiful, but I had some problems with the writing style and character portrayals. Some parts of the storyline were a bit hard to swallow and, I thought, worked against the overall quality of the story. That said, it was an excellent book, and if you are interested in a believable post apocalypse story, you will highly enjoy this!
