It's most important to know that this book is an amazing love story, but also the first book in a 3 part series.

Pickup C. - 6 years 4 months agoMy favorite part of the book was the themes and topics addressed throughout the book. The importance of indifference, what it means to truly live, growing apart. They are so powerful and addressed so appropriately and real. It made the book what it was and I think it's a signature of Lauren Oliver which makes her the incredible author she is. #SummerReading

Amy M. - 8 years 7 months agoIf you have read and enjoy any of the following Young Adult trilogies/sagas, you will enjoy this book/trilogy: "The Hunger Games," "Divergent," "Matched," or "The Giver." Furthermore, if you enjoy any dystopian world you will be enveloped by this book. Oliver's beautiful, intricate, and vibrant writing portrays, main character, Lena Haloway as content in her safe, government-managed society. In the government-managed society, both significant others and careers are chosen, at the age of 18, for each individual; this is also the time that each person is "cured" of "deliria," or love. Lena is ready and willing and confident that her government knows what is best for her, and she has never felt love before...the thought of it makes her uncomfortable, that is, until 95 days before her curewhen Lena meets Alex.
