A Good Ending
April D. - 6 years 3 months agoI'm trying not to give any spoilers here! I'm guessing anyone interested in this book knows it's the LAST in the Bill Hodges trilogy and therefore, knows what was going on in Finders Keepers (Book 2 of the series). If you haven't read it, well... I won't reveal too much. One thing I think is funny with this series is just how diverse the opinions are on the "best book" in the series. I don't think that End of Watch is my favorite, but it kept me interested and I really enjoyed it. Bill, Jerome, and Holly are all great characters. I know a lot of people didn't like that this book took a real supernatural twist, but you could see it coming at the end of Finders Keepers and even though it was quite a departure from Mr. Mercedes, I still enjoyed it. (For anyone who may not know, Holly appears in both The Outsider and If It Bleeds, so if you liked her, might want to check those out, too!) #summerreading

Debbie A. - 6 years 3 months agoI liked Mr Mercedes the best. Finders Keepers was good as well (not as good as Mr Mercedes). In End of Watch it as more of what I think of Stephen King (which I’m not into horror, super natural type of stuff) so that is probably why I didn’t like it as much.

Mark C. - 6 years 11 months agoEnd of Watch is a spine-tingling, psychological thriller with a twist. Stephen King has outdone himself with the Bill Hodges Trilogy. It is a must read. You connect with the characters in the book and at times you see yourself as one of them. I have read everything that Stephen King has written he has mastered mystery the same way he is the master of the macabre.
