I had heard about the book but had to see for my self I some how ended with three copies. I also saw a movie clip after readings the first chapter I was angry that I had bought such trash that dumped all the copy’s of the book in the garbage. Next I tried to remove any and all evidence that I had lowered myself to spend good money for such trash. But now I know how sick this story was I always want to be informed.
Okay, so before you start judging me, hear me out. Myself and three other coworkers started reading this for a "joke" for our new founded book club. Two of the four of us didn't like it very much. But for myself and another, we loved it and actually are going to read the rest of the books LOL. What I will say is that Anastasia's character is flat as cardboard. But many of the other characters have much more depth to them. As I haven't finished the series yet, I can't speak much to the development of Christian Grey YET. But so far, not too shabby sir. One thing that is not so great is the repetition. Anastasia is constantly biting her lip, blushing one of three different shades of red (including one being referenced as the color of the Communist Manifesto). She is also always talking about her "inner goddess" which is VERY redundant and I could do without. I would like to know how many times that phrase is repeated. Other than that, I don't know why, but I LOVE the book.
