  • Fast paced action, hard nosed characters, and a historical setting

    Another one I had to have. And not just because of the fast paced action and hard nosed characters. This story actually has a deep historical setting, including the Butcher. The actual person this character was based on, though his story differed from the movie character, was real and yes, he was a "bad man". The Five Points? Real, as was Tammany and the grand finale action scene, the 1863 New York draft riot. A longish but thoroughly enjoyable movie for action and plot.
