    Go Ask Alice is a book that will bring your understanding of drugs to another level. I picked this book up thinking it might catch my interest, but either way, would be a quick read; I was instantly sucked in. Go Ask Alice is written as if you are reading a young girl's diary, who falls into the wrong crowd and becomes addicted to drugs. Throughout her journey, she tries to free herself from the grasp of addiction but continuously falls back into her old routines. Reading this book opened my eyes to how hard it might be for someone who is addicted to drugs, how there is an everyday struggle to overcome, and how easy it is to take that road. Not only does it speak about how controlling the addiction is, but also how much regret she feels about what she has done to herself and her family. I would recommend this book to any parent that feels their child is at risk of becoming addicted to drugs, or to any teen that feels they might be headed down the wrong road. If you are someone who is interested in the day to day life of a teen drug addict, then this book is also for you. I love it and hope it opens the eyes of others just like it has for me.
