  • Gone Girl is a Keeper. Great stars, great director, great story.

An unexpected plot twist or two make this movie memorable. Director David Fincher has a strong track record of making movies with unexpected outcomes ( Fight Club, The Game, Seven). Rosamund Pike deserved the Academy award nomination for creating a character that you believed was one thing at the beginning and that you saw as something quite the opposite at movies end. Ben Affleck rose far above his sometimes mediocre performances to create a nuanced character. You will want to watch this one more than once.
