The Hamilton Back Stories
JONI C. - 4 years 5 months agoBought in preparation for seeing Hamilton in NYC, this book prepared me for the rapid pace rap-style lyrics, staging, and back stories of the cast and the overall production. With Lin Manuel-Miranda's margin notes adding to the printed text overlaid onto stage shots of different scenes, I am much more prepared to enjoy seeing the live action stage production.

Must Read for Hamilton Fans
Heather C. - 6 years 1 month agoIf you are like me and know every word to the sound track by heart, you must read this book. It contains lyrics and liner notes along with brief stories and introductions of each song. It's a great insight into the creative process of Lin Manuel Miranda.

Amy M. - 6 years 5 months agoThis is such a fun addition to my Hamilton obsession collection! I have Chernow’s biography (among others), which I very much enjoyed. This book is a great companion and gives wonderful insight into the creation of the musical and the attention to detail given to every aspect of its greatness. This book contains the full libretto with notes by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which bring so much to the background of the writing of the musical! Little nuggets that tell of where certain phrases came or how Hugh Laurie played a role in the character of King George III! There are also essays throughout on topics as varied as the set to the choreography to the actors in the original cast. I read the libretto portions whilst listening to the musical. Love this book so much! Highly recommend to any lover of the musical or anyone interested in musical theater, Hamilton, or what all the hype is about!

It's not just a musical, it's a revolution!
Alisha D. - 6 years 10 months agoI have always been a giant fan of musicals and Broadway shows, but none have come close to capturing my heart like Hamilton has. The Tony Award-winning musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda is a look into the life of one of the countries founding fathers; Alexander Hamilton. From his time growing up in the Caribbean to fighting for the beliefs he stood upon, it is a story which was always meant to be told. Once I had listed to the soundtrack the first time, I was hooked, I became obsessed with knowing everything possible about this musical. That's where "Hamilton: The Revolution" comes in. This book has it all, from the background information about how the songs were created, the actors and actresses who brought these historical icons to life, and everything in between. It is published in a beautiful hardcover binding that looks amazing on any bookshelf. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the musical; it will just take you one step closer to the story. Do not throw away your shot, pick up this book, and you will not regret it.
