Whenever I tell someone "I've never read Harry Potter, but I love the movies!" I'm always met with the same response - "You should really read the books. They are so much better." I have finally given in and started the Seven book series. I just finished book two "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." It does not disappoint! It's still early enough in the series that they are learning neat spells and honing their newfound skills, which is one of my favorite things about the movies. Now I have so much more information than I did before. I am excited to continue reading the books and then re-watch the movies. So I guess I should thank all of those people that never gave up the fight to get me to read the books. You win. :)
HPB Staff ReviewI actually couldn't listen to this at night as a kid; Jim Dale was so spot on with the basilisk's voice that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep if I heard it. Not even his Voldemort was that scary! But it just goes to show how well he reads it.
