  • Relevant Themes and Relate-able Characters

    Ellen M. - 6 years 3 months ago

Just finished re-reading #HarryPotter books 1-7 during quarantine. It's truly amazing how this story has held up over the years with it's themes of acceptance, good vs. evil, prejudice, power struggles, and more. As an adult I fully appreciate the character of Dumbledore and Snape much more than I did as a child. What I liked about the book more than the movie is that I could use my imagination to visualize the story. Now I love the movie, but it alas fell short with giving some of the parts to other characters. The book did well in giving everyone a nice wrap up though some of them made me sad. Either way, this book is phenomenal and I only wish J.K. Rowling would right a YA series about the Mauraders time as school. Fingers crossed. #summerreading

  • Deathly Great!

    Linda C. - 6 years 3 months ago

A fantastic ending to a fantastic series. Harry Potter is a brave, relatable, and heroic protagonist. In fact, the three main characters are great role models (maybe not so much Ron (; ). No matter what age, if you can read decently, then read these books. #SummerReading
