A Delicious Take on the Villain Behind 'Alice in Wonderland'
Samantha K. - 5 years 2 months agoI was not expecting the same level of greatness that Marissa Meyer brought to the table with the Lunar Chronicles, but Heartless definitely confirmed that she is one probably my favorite author! It was a fantastic story. Meyer's writing is superb and all of her characters unique, yet meshing together in a delicious way. I loved this spin on the Queen of Hearts. Marissa Meyer writes such realistic romances that make you be the characters or at least cheer them on the whole way through (or cry when you know the inevitable ending - this IS the Queen of Hearts, after all). If you love fantasy/fairytale spinoffs, I cannot recommend this book enough!

O. N. - 5 years 2 months agoI loved this book! The world was so beautifully described. Marissa did not disappoint. I am devastated, the characters deserved soooo much better!😔 “One to be a murderer, the other to be martyred, One to be a monarch, the other to go mad.” Although I looved where this book went, I felt that the whole war with the Red Queen and White Queen was forgotten? I hoped that Cath would be the solution and am disappointed that it was not touched on. Overall, beautiful retelling and i definitely recommend!!

Jest is my favorite character, I love how is he is portrayed in the book with how mysterious he is and how is live ties in with his love life! It’s a great book I couldn’t put it down!!!
