The Masterful Ishmael
Alma B. - 6 years agoThis book left such a powerful impact on me. Ishmael follows the story of an un-named protagonist interviewing a gorilla named Ishmael who is seeking a pupil ambitious about saving the world. Although the tale is fairly straightforward, with little atmospheric touches that many readers would enjoy in a fictional story, it excels at its powerful narrative. I left the book feeling like I could change the way that I am living my life. I ultimately want to be a leaver as Quinn describes instead of the problematic taker. #bannedbook entry

Meredyth P. - 6 years 2 months agoI had read this book 20 years ago, and was deeply moved by the ideology put forth by the author. I re-read it recently, and was surprised at how contemporary the subject still is. A must read for everyone concerned with the state of the world.
