    I loved this book, as I do most Terry Pratchett's work. This was part of the Night Watch series & I believe the last (only because of what happens in the story). All of the characters are so detailed I have their pictures in my head. Vimes grows into the cop he always wished to be, just as "retirement" looms. Corporal Carrot makes a surprising choice, given his true identity (unknown to himself until the end), but it appears to be the right one for the city. I loved this book just a bit more than other Pratchett Disk-World books, because of the perfectly reasonable happy ending, over a typical fairy-tale one. Much more realistic. I love Terry Pratchett's humor & philosophical bent. He was a true genius and I am so glad he left so much of it on the written page. #BannedBook
