Overview

In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis, the most important writer of the 20th century, explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Bringing together Lewis' legendary broadcast talks during World War Two from his three previous books The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.

C.S. Lewis does an excellent job of relating his journey from theist to christian. His writtings are clear and concise.

I am still reading it. It has a lot of things to think about.

  • Not Religion, But a Personal Relationship with God

This is my favorite book by my favorite author. It has had a huge impact on the lives of many people, as it offers not only a winsome, cogent proof of the existence of God, but also how God wants to have a personal relationship with each person. #SpringPicks

  • great book for me as friend of an atheist

    Trace H. - 5 years 10 months ago

I believe this is the best CS Lewis book I've ever read. After a while (a year?) since finishing the book, the main thing that still sticks with me is Lewis' scholarly descriptions of why Christianity is different and worthy from other religions which he discovered on his path from atheism.

  • Highlights?

Other than the massive amounts of highlighting that appeared to have no real purpose, I enjoyed my copy of this book and re-read it frequently.
