    Rebekah M. - 2 years 11 months ago

Imagine Stranger Things. C'mon, we've all binge-watched it at this point. Now take the main group of friends and make them girls; girls that hold their own and kick butt on their paper routes. Then throw in some time travel for fun. Paper Girls is an incredible blending of genres, all packed into one astounding graphic novel. Once you start it, you're not going to be able to put it down.

  • Goonies and Stranger Things have nothing on this

    Nicholas A. - 3 years 1 month ago

The world seems to be in an '80s renaissance of fiction with the likes of Stranger Things and Ready Player One, but Brian K Vaughan and Cliff Chiang make their own entry with Paper Girls. Focused around a quartet of newspaper delivery girls on Halloween night, 1988. But they don't stay there long as their adventure takes them through time and space. A very fun read.

  • Four teenage paper girls save the world... or at least the neighborhood.

    Zack H. - 3 years 4 months ago

Paper Girls Vol. 1 is perfect for any lover of retro 80s style! It's Stand By Me, but with monsters, Stranger Things with four fearless girls. Amazing art and color, heavily stylized, and a simple yet fun story. I liked this work of Brian K. Vaughn's most of all.

  • For fans of Stranger Things and Brian K. Vaughn!

    Laura K. - 5 years 8 months ago

This is a great series by Brian K. Vaughn (Y The Last Man, Saga, Runaways, Ex Machina) and Cliff Chiang. It's got a great blend of 80's nostalgia mixed with science fiction while giving you fun characters you want to know more about. This story starts out in the early morning with a all girl group of newspaper deliverers who stumble upon aliens or future people or the apocalypse or all three? While the stakes continually change in this book, Vaughn does great care to keep all of the characters well developed and great. The art fits like a glove and the bold colors enhance a fantastic and well honed story. Brian K. Vaughn never disappoints and you will continually be hooked in with his fabulous premises that are then maintained into brilliant narrative!
