This gives life to the characters that you find displayed throughout the Pathfinder books as an example of a spell, character class, or simply an item. Paizo calls them their icon characters and oh boy do they have quite a story to tell. I personally thought the idea was very silly, but when I cracked the book open, I thought I was reading a wild dungeon crawl with beautiful character progression and growth, and that's something that things lack this day. The characters drawn are two-dimensional, but they are truly three dimensions worthy! They have such a great story behind them you will already wish you ordered the second volume. The other great part is in the back it gives you a module for a campaign, some lovely art, and statistics for some of the characters they explore in their graphic novels. As a collector and a nerd, myself I have to say this is a must have for anyone out there that enjoys a fantasy based setting to a story.
HPB Staff ReviewAlright, you are going to ask why I put the 'Opposites Attract' as a tag. Well, It has a rather rich relationship in it that seems out of place at first but trust me, if you stick with it, you will be rewarded and enriched with a very beautiful relationship. I do recommend this for adults due to gore and variety of character types and relationships or if you just have an open mind to a great story! This story follows a normal sounding DnD group band of characters, a mage, a warrior, rogue, cleric, and many more. They start off just adventuring together but as stories go it gets pretty epic! Also, there is more! If you are a player of the game that Paizo also published called Pathfinder this graphic novel comes with a campaign for your players to enjoy! It's an A+ read with a game for you to enjoy in the back. It's also an ongoing series with plenty of twists and turns, so if you are willing to get on the ride, it's a rather fun roller coaster of awesome.
