First edition two volume set features green cloth on boards with gilt stamp seal and lettering on the front and back covers, gilt stamped lettering on the spines, decorative endpapers, and a facsimile of Grant's signature. The binding of volume one's spine has come loose but is still in tact. Pages have slight foxing and staining on edges. Both cover have wear predominantly on corners and spines.
