Prelude to Foundation is a science fiction novel by Isaac Asimov that chronicles mathematician Hari Seldon flees across the imperial capital of Trantor. While evading the Emperor who seeks to exploit his new theoretical science of psychohistory, Seldon discovers that predicting the future of humanity may actually be mathematically possible. Published in 1988 as part of Easton Press' Signed First Editions of Science Fiction. This volume features a genuine grey leather binding with gilt decoration and lettering, with four raised bands, cream moire endpapes and matching silk place marker sewn in. All edges gilt. Introduction by James Gunn, illustrated by Vincent Difate. Signed on half title page.
