Don't let the generic book cover deter you! Yes, I confess to judging a book by its cover before. Go on, throw tomatoes at me. You look at this book and all you see is a) vague blurb about yet another prince with a vengeance and b) equally vague cover. Do yourself a favor and step over this cover into a fascinating character development. Jorg is distastefully cruel, uncaring and petty. But why do we follow him throughout the book inwardly wishing him luck and maybe a redemption, which he does not care for? More importantly, why do his 'brothers' follow a cunning boy of 14? Let him lead you and maybe you'll find out. Trust me on this one.
This book will make you question your own morality. When Prince Honorous Jorg Ancrath was eight, he saw his own mother and brother murdered, and he grows up to be worse than the killers. Prince Jorg is somehow both terrible and relatable, ruthless and driven. The story is a bit about trying to regain his throne and take command of his kingdom, but it is also about revenge and the events that can shape an entire lifetime.
