Overview

In a feat of virtuoso storytelling, Anne Rice unleashes Akasha, the queen of the damned, who has risen from a six-thousand-year sleep to let loose the powers of the night. Akasha has a marvelously devious plan to "save" mankind and destroy the vampire Lestat--in this extraordinarily sensual novel of the complex, erotic, electrifying world of the undead.

  • The mesmerizing tale of the past and present vampire Lestat

    Diana R. - 2 years 2 months ago

Queen of The Damned will remain a breathtaking title (and film) for its enduring and seductive story telling by Anne Rice. Such detail goes in depth into vampire Lestat, a forsaken vampire forced to journey in his long past as a royal and present as a bold and rebellious rock star. He finds himself intrigued by a curious human, Talamascan, and warding off vampires in which he's exposed; therefore leading to the awakening of Queen Akasha, the mother of those damned eternally.

  • Take your time. You get introduced to a lot of characters really quickly. It’s worth it in the end.
