Overview

Part of Whitman's "Stories for Girls and Boys featuring your favorite characters," a classic series printed with advertisements for war bonds in WWII. "Shirley Temple became the child star of her generation when she made 'Little Miss Marker' at the age of five... her childish blonde curls became famous the world over. Now a young miss in her teens, she is continuing her career in the movies with all her natural charm and talent" (on dust jacket interior). Dust jacket features Shirley Temple over an illustration of Dragonwood estate. DJ unclipped with minor chipping without loss on bottom of spine and moderate chipping at crown of spine with some loss. Fully bound in green boards with orange title on front cover and spine. Features illustrated pastedowns and illustrations. Opposite the title page, in ink and in pencil, is a 1945 Christmas inscription and a shiny sticker of Santa Clause fixed to the page.
