  • Good bible for students, good bible for beginning christians

    For a new Christian, this in depth Bible is currently helping me understand the specifics of each scripture. With (seemingly) each line, It has footnotes which really dive into the meaning, and explains deeper on the context and some pondering questions. This bible also has background, maps, and historical context that requires you to think cross culturally as you read upon it, which is both faith strengthening and interesting. Text is a little smaller than expected, bible can fit on thigh, and causes bible to be really thick, but not a burden.
