All's fair in love and anarchy in Supernova, the epic conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Marissa Meyer's thrilling Renegades Trilogy
This volume sees Nova and Adrian struggling to keep their secret identities concealed while the battle rages on between their alter egos, their allies, and their greatest fears come to life. Secrets, lies, and betrayals are revealed as anarchy once again threatens to reclaim Gatlon City.0
LET ME JUST SAY this is basically as close as you can get to a five star. the ONLY AND I MEAN ONLY reason it isn’t, is bc i thought 1% of it was slow. THATS IT spolier free: “Her wall of lies might be ready to collapse on its own, but she wasn’t about to let someone take a wrecking ball to it now.” this ending is probably the best ending that i have read so far since i started reading regularly. the revealing of secrets, not knowing who to trust, the line between hero and villain is the thinnest it’s ever been. AND THAT INSANE EPILOGUE?? DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. other than the a m a z i n g ending, the actual plot and “meat” of the book was quite enjoyable as well. i really liked the range of characters and i really love nova as a protagonist. she’s probably my next favorite, right after jude from tfota. i also came to love adrian despite not really liking him till the second book. i kinda wish he focused more on his own character development? instead of constantly worrying about nova? but then again, he did go through a lot, and young love is obviously in the air. so i don’t blame him. he’s very sweet and very cool. along w the other renegade gang!! oscar is literally THE BEST. i really like him. especially with him being a side character, i lowkey wish he was a main one. ruby too!! danna kinda got on my nerves but i mean oh well. overall very good book, VERY GOOD TRILOGY THAT WILL LEAVE YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. go read it ❤️ #SpringPicks
It’s a fantastic conclusion that has great pacing and an engaging plot! I wish there had been more after the end of the climax but it does not make the story incomplete. If you enjoyed this book I’d personally advise looking into Six of Crows. Anyone who enjoys gray morality situations will like both of these books.
I loved the first two Renegades books, however I found this books to be not as good as the other for a few reasons. While the other books did their best to bridge the gap between hero/villain perceptions, this book takes some steps back in that regard that feel unsettled. I also found the ending to be rather cliche. It was still a good book, and I'd recommend the series, however I found this to be the weakest link in the trilogy. #SummerReading
10 out of five stars!!!! The Renegades Series is masterfully written. Believe me, I was a sobbing mess at the end. Though my contempt and disgust for Danna since the very beginning was something I constantly verbalized, I loved every single other character. They were all beautifully developed and truly human. The Renegades makes you question the concepts of heroes and villains and the ever so blurry lines in between. It raises concerns about government and self-reliance. I would recommend this book series to anyone!!
I liked the aspect of superpowers and the romance between villains and heros
