    In IDW's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The IDW Collection Volume 1," Kevin Eastman (one of the original writers for TMNT) returns to retell the origin of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to a new audience. In this modern interpretation, Eastman borrows pieces from previous incarnations and also integrates new folklore to create a collage of narrative that is familiar for hardcore fanboys, such as myself, and a good starting point for new fans alike.
