One of those books that needs to be read more then once.
Em S. - 6 years 4 months agoThe first half was extremely slow and hard to get into. Yet the second half was interesting and kept my attention the entire time. The biggest problem I had with this book was the timeline. I was confused about what happened when.

Heartbreakingly Tragic
Amanda M. - 6 years 9 months agoIn this controversial novel that many believe is a direct fictionalization of Sylvia Plath's life, Esther Greenwood--a woman whom many would say has everything going for her--begins to unravel mentally and emotionally. While reading about Esther's life, you will feel so immersed that you will start to embody the same emotions and qualms about your current state of sanity. Plath's profoundly enticing poetic abilities bleed throughout this novel and sweep you up like a hurricane. Caution: You will not want to put this book down. You will feel as if you are Esther (or, Plath) throughout the entire novel. For those who are genuinely interested in books about Psychology of Psychosis from a fictional point of view, this is the book for you. It is not for the faint at heart. Proceed to read with caution.
